Geely Plans Five New Hybrid Models as It Chases 3 Million Sales in 2025

Geely Auto Group will launch five new intelligent hybrid products in the second half of 2025 as it pushes toward an annual sales target of 3mn vehicles, chief executive Gan Jiayue said at the company's mid-year operating meeting on July 30.

A second-half product push

The planned models include Zeekr 9X, Lynk & Co 10 EM-P, Geely Galaxy A7 and Geely Galaxy M9, along with another intelligent hybrid model. The line-up shows Geely's effort to use hybrids and intelligent features to compete across several price and brand tiers.

Technology deployment becomes central

Geely also plans to deploy several technologies in the second half, including the Qianli Haohan H9 intelligent safety driver-assistance system, Thor methanol-hydrogen technology and a new-generation Flyme Auto smart cockpit system.

The technologies fit Geely's wider attempt to strengthen its new-energy and intelligent-vehicle position as China's auto market becomes more competitive and more software-led.

The "One Geely" strategy takes shape

To support the sales target, Geely is pushing a "One Geely" strategy across Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Geely Galaxy and China Star. The brands are expected to coordinate more closely in research, supply chain, market operations and technology deployment.

The plan reflects a broader industry shift. Chinese automakers are trying to reduce duplicated development, improve speed and spread technology across brand portfolios more efficiently. For Geely, the second half of 2025 will test whether tighter coordination and a heavier hybrid push can turn scale into stronger market momentum.
