Chery Exports More Than 200,000 Vehicles in a Single Month as Global Sales Surge

Chery Group exported 202,533 vehicles in July 2026, marking the first time its monthly overseas shipments have surpassed the 200,000-unit threshold.

The milestone stands out even against the group’s strong overall performance. Chery sold 276,820 vehicles globally in July, meaning exports accounted for roughly 73% of total monthly sales. Implied domestic sales were only around 74,000 vehicles.

In other words, Chery exported nearly three vehicles for every one it sold in China during the month.

Crossing 200,000 exports in a single month represents more than a statistical milestone. It shows how significantly Chery’s growth engine has shifted toward overseas markets, with international demand now accounting for the majority of the group’s monthly volume.

July also marked the fifth consecutive month in which Chery set a new Chinese record for monthly vehicle exports, underlining the scale and consistency of its overseas expansion.

For a Chinese automaker, shipping more than 200,000 vehicles abroad in just one month signals a significant change in scale. Chery is no longer simply using exports to supplement domestic sales. Global markets are increasingly becoming the company’s primary volume engine.
